CWR Academy girl's basketball team [graphic]. [1939?]

Negative of the girls basketball team standing in front of an unidentified building at the CWR Academy probably taken in 1939. Wesley E. Hayes was President of Consolidated White River (CWR) Academy located in Brinkley, Monroe County, Arkansas, 1938-48. He also taught at Fargo Agricultural School in Fargo, Monroe County, Arkansas. The CWR Academy was an African American elementary and secondary school that was founded by former principal J.E. Clarke in 1893. The school was owned by a board of trustees and supported by two Baptist associations.
